My, time zooms. I seem to have abandoned this blog for my other one, Random Reflections, but can’t figure out how to combine the two (or decide if they ought to be, for that matter).
With managing Mum’s caregiving tantamount in my life, there’s little time for writing or painting or blogging. Even tidying up and vacuuming don’t happen as often as I’d like.
There’s little to say about my art scene just at the moment. although I do have a painting at The Network Hub in the “Best of New West” exhibit, running now until the end of January.
Not so much happening in my art world this summer, as my primary focus is always on Mum. I did, however, participate in the Summer Sensation Pop Up at 52 Sixth Street two weekends ago. Very successful location ‘cos there is so much foot traffic there at the corner of Sixth Street and Carnarvon, the previous Brick & Mortar location.
I will be painting from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mosaic of the Arts on Monday, August 14, at Queen’s Park band shell.
Also, I’m working on a new series, which I continue to work on this week. Four paintings at least in mind for this one. Stay tuned!
Here’s to a happy, happy new year. Using numerology, 2017 is a One year, a year to start something brand new, something that expresses our uniqueness, that uses our leadership abilities, that opens us to new perspectives. As we leave our old stories behind and write new chapters on the shiny new pages of the coming year, I wish you health, happiness, and an abundance of blessings.
